Counselling for Women in the Perimenopausal Season
When your body begins to change… and something deeper asks to be listened tospace where your body can finally exhale.
A space to understand what's changing
So you can stop questioning yourself… and start trusting what your body is telling you
In our work together, we gently make sense of what’s unfolding - through a lens that honours both your body and your nervous system.
This may include support around:
- anxiety, overwhelm, or heightened emotional sensitivity
- disrupted sleep, energy fluctuations, or mood changes
- hot flushes and the body’s stress response
- identity shifts, life transitions, and changing roles
- navigating relationships as your needs evolve
- burnout, exhaustion, or feeling “not quite like yourself”
There is nothing here that needs to be rushed or fixed.
Instead… we slow things down.
And begin to listen.
A nervous system-informed approach
Because your body isn't failing you - it's asking for a different kind of support
As your hormones shift, your nervous system becomes more responsive, more aware…
and at times, more easily overwhelmed.
Together, we explore how to:
• anchor a sense of safety within your body
• understand your unique nervous system patterns
• gently regulate and support your system through change
• build a toolkit you can return to in everyday life
This isn’t about overriding what you feel.
It’s about learning how to be with yourself -
with more steadiness, more compassion, and more trust.
Working with the body - not just talking about it
Because healing in this season isn't just cognitive - it's deeply embodied.
As a trauma-informed counsellor and yoga therapist, I gently weave in body-based practices where it feels supportive.
This can be especially helpful in this season, where many women notice:
• increased sensitivity in the body
• waves of heat or activation (like hot flushes)
• shifts in energy, rest, and regulation
Together, we may explore:
• grounding and orienting through the body
• breath practices to support regulation
• gentle movement or stillness
• a personalised toolkit to support you at home
Rather than trying to control or push away what’s happening… we begin to work with your body.
Meeting moments of intensity with:
• cooling awareness
• softening
• and a growing sense of safety within yourself
Everything is invitational.
Always at your pace.
(No prior yoga experience needed 🤍)
Honouring this as a threshold — not a problem
What if this isn’t something to get through… but something to listen to?
While this season can bring challenges… it is also a powerful transition.
A threshold.
A time where many women begin to:
• reconnect with their inner voice
• reassess what truly matters
• set clearer, more honest boundaries
• soften out of patterns of overgiving or pushing through
In our sessions, there is space not only for what feels difficult… but also for what is quietly emerging.
BOOK A CLARITY CALLA Gentle Note
Alongside my professional training in counselling, trauma, and nervous system work, I also bring a growing, lived understanding of this season.
So you’re not just met with knowledge… You’re met with presence, respect, and deep understanding of how this unfolds in real life.
You don’t have to navigate this alone
You don’t have to push through.
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
Whether you’re just beginning to notice changes… or you’re already in the midst of this transition - you are welcome here.
This is a space to:
• slow down
• be supported
• and gently find your way through this season
in a way that honours your body, your pace, and your inner wisdom.
